Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm moving out of the USA. I'm a sommelier/ restaurant supervisor that has 20 years of experience in hospitality. Ive worked for the best restaurants in the USA, according to international standards.. and so I can have a visa as a "highly skilled" worker in most countries and I choose Germany. I travel extensively and I know it will be a smooth move and I hope to meet lots of amazing people at the same time. Will I meet you? We'll see...

Interests

There's only two things I really care about in this life. Consciousness and relationships. I'm so overwhelmed with gratitude that I get to be alive. In the end you can't take any of your things or people with you...The present moment is all you have. I've lost a lot and had a lot and the only things that matter was how precious it is to live and have relationships. People, with all of their messiness, are beautiful... and I want to meet as many as I can. In many ways we are different vehicle models but we're all a cars... we are all different living spaces, but we're all homes. Well are all separate flakes, but we are all snow. For some reason cars, homes and snow fascinate me because I'm alive and I get to experience them. Anything is interesting because it's life.... but to experience with others then life takes on more meaning.

What I Can Share with Hosts

love my country but I believe that it is one of 100's of countries and I can't live knowing how many and how much there is out there. The novelty of culture is beautiful. Yes, Language is fascinating... but I really am looking for my people, regardless of background that live a life of service... and you don't have to be a humanitarian to be one. Many people live extraordinary lives working in normal mundane jobs because they live to give. Because they treasure their family and the life that job provides them. In many ways I'm looking for heroes and there are so many of you out there living regular lives. If you look, so many of the influencers and revolutionaries throughout history were ordinary people doing ordinary things but making memorable impacts that changed humanity. I hope to meet many of you as we wander through this thing called life...so even if we're not remembered after we're gone ,while we are here, how we live will be handed down through the generations in a way that blesses and extends to others eternally. It's the message not the messenger... will you help me spread the word?
