ABOUT ME

Gosh. If I had to give bullet-point facts of my life, I guess it would go like this:

-I've been a vegetarian my entire life. Literally. Accordingly, I love animals.

-I play guitar, but I dabble in many other instruments, mostly not very well. I've moved onto effects, delay and loop pedals, which are endless amounts of fun.

-I love Massachusetts. Great state.

-Love writing. I take a lot more public transportation in Denmark, and frequently find myself playing with anagrams and palindromes when I'm bored.

PHILOSOPHY

What I've always told my friends, half-jokingly, is that I have three goals in life:

1) Always be fresh to death (This is a hip-hop term I picked up. Nobody seems to know what I'm talking about when I say this, but more or less it's on your 'A' game. I succeed at this some of the time).

2) Always be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. (Be curious and exuberant. And, you know, to be nice.

3) Always be footloose and fancy-free. (Be flexible, not too hasty)

Now that I look at it, I might just like this because of the alliteration and rhymes. But in my head, this is what I strive for.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm very new to CouchSurfing. I'm studying abroad in Denmark, and was only dimly aware of its existence before I was thinking of traveling about. I'm looking forward to my life as a CouchSurfer, and when I have a place of my own, being a CouchHost.

Interesses

Well, like most other people, I love books, music, and movies. I hope to one day be some sort of writer or work in the publishing industry, but it's not exactly an easy field to break into. I'm the Features Editor on my school newspaper, and I have a slight problem of acquiring a variety of instruments and not learning to play them adequately.

Músicas, Filmes e Livros

Music: Animal Collective, Dirty Projectors, The Band, Bob Dylan, Fleet Foxes. There's a kajillion others, but I probably know the back catalogs of these guys the best. And lots of 90s pop, from my days of sitting in the back seat while my parents drove.

Movies: I love movies, but most of the ones I truly like aren't exactly highbrow. Children of Men, Robocop, Dazed and Confused, Amores Perros, Battle Royale, Starship Troopers, Pineapple Express.

Uma Coisa Incrível que Eu Fiz

Almost everyone has a celebrity encounter story, and I wouldn't say this is at all amazing, but it was neat to find myself and my family on a dance floor with Neil Young. Long story.
