I'm a Canadian currently based here in NZ on a working holiday visa and am working and puttering across the country. I'm a diving instructor and science enthusiast at heart.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been working in NZ since my arrival in December 2018 and now I'm about to hit the road. I've had many friends use Couchsurfing on their travels and again and again they recommended it, so here I am. I'd like to meet new people and make new friends on my two year adventure here and see the country through the eyes of a Kiwi.

Interests

I have lots of experience when it comes to diving and eating, but I am really only a beginner hiker and climber. I've done a fair amount of indoor climbing and easier day hikes, but one of the reasons I'm here in NZ is to get outside and really challenge myself and to get out of my comfort zone, all the while experiencing Middle Earth (because I am a bit of a Lord of the Rings fan as well).
