About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to remember to breath deeply and enjoy the simple pleasures

ABOUT ME

I am laid-back, respectful, observant, helpful, social yet independant, I enjoy the simple pleasures.
I have lived in Spain for 3 years and really love the life here. It is very difficult sometimes to be so far away from my family. I have and continue to learn so much about myself through this separation, and...
I enjoy my own company a little more each day. :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am not participating at the moment. I live outside of the city where public transport does not reach. Impossible to host. Maybe again in the future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, I have had few experiences and relationships built through CouchSurfing. However, I have only positive things to say about this project. Good times, great people.

Interests

I enjoy cooking (for and with others), eating, sipping wine, music: Jazz and blues at the moment. Receiving (real!)letters, laughing out loud, reading, singing. I am developing my longtime interest in photography, enjoy the outdoors, sailing, kayaking, biking.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I see amazing, beautiful, and unlikely things almost every day...

Most recently, I have been ¨hosting¨ abandoned and badly mistreated Spanish hunting dogs. They come to me to recover from physical and/or psycological wounds and to be rehabilitated in a family setting. Then they are sent to their forever home (usually in Northern Spain or Northern Europe) To me it is amazing how animals do not hold on to the past.

Countries I’ve Visited

Aruba, Austria, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Ireland, Morocco, Netherlands, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Spain, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
