About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To live nobly, so that at the end no one may judge me ill.
ABOUT ME
I am a Sociocultural Anthropologist. I am outgoing and confident, but not overly so. I am a happy and talkative person with a respectful personality. Words that would describe myself are: confident, willful, genuine, sociable, and an engaging personality.
PHILOSOPHY
"Nobility", as a human quality and characteristic, should be considered in every decision we make.
They say "you can't please everyone" - but I think that's a cop-out. Just think of all the people you can please by simply trying.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am pretty new to the whole CS thing. I started when I was studying at The University of York in York, England in 2012.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have surfed in a few places in the Americas and twice in Europe (Marseille, France 2009 and Doncaster, England 2012).
Interests
I am passionate about theatre, anthropology/archaeology, culture, photography, poetry, writing, linguistics, public speaking, animals, the environment etc. I am pursuing a Triple Major in Anthropology, Social Justice, and Theatre Arts. I am an actor for a student-run theatre company that focuses on issues of social justice. I was the Chair of a 501(c)3 non-profit environmental and political advocacy organization before I left for study abroad. I mountain climb 14'ers twice a year with a team of seasoned climbers in Colorado, USA. And I am a licensed Scuba Diver.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies - Not into horror films or anything scary. I like films with relevance and meaning. ("Love Actually", "No Reservations", "500 Days of Summer", "Seven Pounds")
Music - Alternative rock, R&B... pretty much anything except screamo or heavy metal.
Books - philosophy (Nietzsche, Plato, Socrates, Kant) and anything that attracts my attention, is meaningful, or engaging in someway. (Siddhartha, The Catcher in the Rye etc.)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was a U.S. Student Ambassador to Europe in 2009. I would say that entire experience made me realize advantageous things about success, life, culture, and even personal goals - realizations, that take most people years to grasp and I likely would not have grasped them so early if it were not for this experience. It was a delegation trip over 20 days through 4 countries (Italy, Monaco, France, England) and the people I met, from fellow citizens to prime ministers, culminate an experience that significantly shaped who I turned out to be.
I've also been to Negril, Jamaica three times. My home away from home. That place cannot possibly be compressed into a paragraph, but the culture I was exposed to there formed my own personal culture as well.
Teach, Learn, Share
I like to learn about other cultures, both past and present. I myself possess knowledge in the performing arts, mastery of english writing and public speaking, theatre, poetry, photography, politics, and all established subjects typically covered by Sociocultural Anthropology.
