ABOUT ME

I love to travel (obviously), and think that meeting new people and discovering new places are some of the most amazing things that you can possibly do. I really like books, music, animals, philosophy, politics, nature and people.

PHILOSOPHY

There's no set meaning to life, you have to write your own. It's the most beautiful and terrifying thing in the world.

I want to be impulsive, take risks, love life take chances and connect with people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't hosted or surfed yet (I'm living at home for the summer with my parents), but hope to start travelling again soon. I'd love to host people as soon as I have my own place again!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't couchsurfed yet, but I've lived in South America and Spain, and travelled for 8 months in India, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. I've met wonderful people all over the world, and fallen in love with so many places.

Interests

I love reading, and can always recommend a good book. I really like music (especially rock and indie), and spend a lot of my time making people mix-tapes.

Food is really important to me, and I'm always happy when I'm eating a good meal! I also like nature and some sports.

My favourite thing, however, is talking to interesting people and learning from them.

Books: Rohinton Mistry, Junot Diaz, David Mitchell, Zadie Smith, Louis de Bernieres, David Sedaris, Naomi Klein, Joseph Stiglitz, Jonathan Franzen, Richard Yates, Arthur Koestler, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Gabriel García Márquez...and a million more.

Music: Indie/Rock/Punk/Country. My favourite bands are Bright Eyes, The National and Manic Street Preachers, but I love so many others.

Movies: Tarantino. Anything with Michael Cera.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Lived in Ecuador for one year; I visited the Amazon and the Galapagos Islands, lived in Quito (one of the most beautiful cities in the world) and met some of the most amazing people in my life.

-Travelled around India and South-East Asia for 8 months. I saw so many amazing things and met so many cool people.

-Saw Machu Picchu, Angkor Wat and the Taj Mahal.

-Swam with sealions.

Teach, Learn, Share

I speak English and Spanish, and have experience of teaching English.

I know quite a lot about Philosophy, and like to chat about it.

I love eating, so am good to go to restaurants with.

I'm quite impulsive, so am usually happy to go on an adventure and have new experiences.

I love recommending books and music.
