ABOUT ME

I (Rick)grew up in The Netherlands and immigrated to Canada with my whole family early 2003, I met Nancy in 2004 and married her a few years later. We will be traveling/hosting together. We'd love to meet people from all over the world.
We like having good conversations about pretty much anything like politics/sports/cultures etc.

We both like to play sports like baseball and soccer.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are independent so we don't "have" to be entertained but if you are around and have time we'd love to spend time together and share stories and/or be shown around the city when surfing.
We (and by that I mean my wife) might even cook you a lovely meal :-)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Travelled through Europe and surfed in Belgium,Germany, Switzerland and France.
We also hosted someone from germany and a lovely couple from Brazil and the US at our place

Rick:
I like all kinds of music e.g. jazz/reggae/rock/electronic/80's/90's. I love football,(soccer for the Americans) french fries with mayonnaise, baseball, conspiracy theories, stock trading, good cup of coffee and a glas of beer, from time to time I pick up my electric guitar and play some tunes.

Nancy: cooking, baseball, gardening and enjoy sitting on a patio

Movies: Anything with good acting and preferable a good story. Although I did enjoy Avatar. One of my all time favorites is the movie "the game"

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Besides my wedding day (I don't want to sleep on my own couch you know) I would say biking down Blue Mountain in Jamaica between the coffee bean plants and waterfalls all around us was one of the finest moments I remember
