Hello my dearest Couchsurfing community!

My Name is Rico, raised in a beautiful village close to the german alps (Füssen) and now studying in a student town called Darmstadt (close to Frankfurt). Currently I'm based in Valencia, Spain, doing my Erasmus.

My passion for traveling started with 16 when I went to a High School in a lovely town in Minnesota, USA, where I lived for 10 month with a american family.

Since then I love to spend my holidays exploring the world, discovering different cultures and meeting new people.

With 22 I had the chance to spend on year in the amazing city Rio de Janeiro, Brasil while studying abroad. In the end of the semester I was able to do my biggest trip so far, traveling three month trough almost all South America.

After finishing my Master studies I'm planning to do a world travel and hopefully meet a lot of local people with Couchsurfing :-)

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I really like the concept of Couchsurfing. There is no better way of discovering a new country/culture than spending time with the locals, doing local activities, trying local food, learning the local language or simply talking to locals.

I also love hostal live, because of the diversity and positives vibes around the other travelers, but often you only stay with the internationals and barely meet any locals.

So far I have never used Couchsurfing but I met a lot of people who made great experiences with it, so I really would like to try it out :-)

Intereses

I absolutely love all kind of sports. I found my passion during my exchange in Brasil in Footvolley. It is like Beachvolley ball but without the hands (therefore all the other body parts!).
Also I like almost every kind of ball sports (especially football, squash, table tennis or volleyball) and all kind of outdoor sports (as being born in the alps), for example snowboarding, hiking or climbing.

Next to sports I like to just spend time with people while cooking a nice meal or simply drinking a cold beer.

And of course I am always up for a good party :-)
