Overview
About Me
I am a young Colombian-Lebanese guy that just finished studies in University. I am 24 years old and I was born in the beautiful city of Cartagena de Indias. Maybe growing around such beautiful places, experiences, buildings, diversity, heritage and stories is what made me interested in the discipline of History. I would love to become a History and Latinamerican studies teacher in the future. For now, I am teaching Spanish, English and Italian languages to children in a school. Right now I live in Bogotá, love reading, writing, drinking, dancing, walking and get surprised by the small things of life. I have also a bartending diploma so I can prepare some cocktails :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like to meet people from around the world. I have not couchsurfed that many times, but I'm always meeting people from other places and other parts of the world and I love to show them around. I feel I can offer nice evenings filled with History and Literature talks.
Interests
Reading, reading, reading, writing, teaching, working, smiling, partying, drinking, smoking, looking at the sky, light brown eyes, foreign languages, Colombianity, history, Gabriel García Márquez, Naguib Mahfouz, Lebanese things, Colombian Spanish, Latinamerican Spanish, Fus7a Arabic, Lebanese Arabic, and many other things I guess I haven't discovered yet.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I like rock music a lot. Post-rock and classics are ok for me. Electro is also fine. Techno and Deep House mainly. Some salsa is fine for me too.
Movies: Memento is #1, L'appartement is #2.
Books: I have some jejejeje (they're not in liking order):
The Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man - James Joyce
Fatelessness - Imre Kertész
Hunger - Knut Hamsun
The Epic of Gilsgamesh

Hangover Square - Patrick Hamilton
Cien años de soledad (One Hundred Years of Solitude) - Gabriel García Márquez

Anna Karenina - Leo Tolstoy
A Madman's Diary - Lu Xun
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I get happy with experiences that seem small, like watching the sunset in my hometown or see the sunrise beside the waves of the beach with some alcohol and some friends. My favorite experience, I think, was snowboarding without knowing anything of it. I had a great time in the beginners mountain. :)
Teach, Learn, Share
What should I write here? I would love to learn a lot about your cultures. I am open minded (I think).
What I Can Share with Hosts
For my job I can only host people on the weekends! I can offer my home, some (not much) knowledge of the history of this beautiful country, showing around, drinking a bit, and a lot of laughs (I hope). My friends and my boyfriend would also be around to have a nice time.
