About Me

✨ Welcome, fellow travellers!
Hi, I’m Ralf! I’m currently based in Canberra, and I’ve lived or travelled across almost every major city in Australia. Couchsurfing, to me, is about kindness, cultural exchange, and turning strangers into lifelong friends 🌏

🧭 What I value:
Respect for all — no racism, no judgment. Everyone deserves kindness.
Clear communication — no ghosting. Just be honest and respectful.

👤 A little about me:
🕵️‍♂️ I work in government intelligence
🥋 I enjoy karate, flying planes, gym, drawing, and chilling with cats 🐱
🗣️ Currently learning Chinese and happy to help with English!

Whether you're passing through, looking for a host, or just want to swap travel stories — I’m always keen to connect and share what I can. Let’s create good vibes and great memories 🙌

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Honestly, I joined Couchsurfing to make new friends, share experiences, and yes — find a free place to stay while I travel. But it’s more than that. For me, Couchsurfing is a way to connect deeply with local people, learn about their cultures, share food, stories, and make memories that hotels can’t offer. I have some exciting travel plans coming up and I’d love to meet locals or fellow travellers along the way:

✈️ Upcoming Travel Plans
Domestic Trips:
1. Melbourne to Hobart
2. Darwin to Bali
3. Coober Pedy to Alice Springs

International Trips:
1. New Zealand
2. China (Guangzhou, Hunan, Shanghai, Beijing)
3. Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam)
4. Turkey & Greece
5. Europe (Italy, Germany, France, Spain, Portugal)

🧳 What I Bring with Me
I collect sunsets, go on foodie adventures, and keep a growing metro card collection from cities I visit. I also love picking up souvenirs, learning new languages, and discovering unique cultural habits along the way.
Couchsurfing lets me experience places like a local — and hopefully be the kind of guest or host who adds something meaningful to your journey too. 😊

Interests

I like to be open minded and experience new cultures wherever I go. Also I am a massive foodie. Please check my Instagram for food porn and recommendations ☺️

What I Can Share with Hosts

I may not be able to host right now, but I always try to give something back to my host. I love showing people around and helping them relax and enjoy their time. If you host me, I’d be happy to share good conversations, cook or eat together, and take you on a little foodie adventure if you’re free! I know some local spots and hidden gems that I’d love to share.

I always bring a positive attitude and good energy. I want to make sure you also enjoy the experience, just like I do. Whether it’s sharing stories, laughing, or just chilling, I’ll do my best to give you the best time possible — whether we’re in Australia or anywhere else in the world!
