ABOUT ME

I'm a keen and true person with a fiery temper and a crooked dark sense of humor. I'm always quite shy with strangers at first, but when you get me talking there's no way to get me to shut up. I love to have conversations with all kinds of people over a pint or a big mug of tea.

PHILOSOPHY

I think people should be able to live in peace with themselves and each other, and I can't understand why it's always so difficult.
I try to improve myself and become the person I want to be, the main areas being
shy -> forward and spontaneus
pessimist -> optimist

Hosted a couple of people, hoping to go surfing myself at some point :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Absolutely positive with the people I've decided to host. That mentioned, I've gotten some creepy "couch requests" lately, which I can't say I'm enjoying. So if you're only looking for a hook up, look somewhere else.

Intereses

Folk music and folk dancing, other social dancing like lindy hop, salsa or kizomba, knitting, crafts, cooking, baking, reading, good cider and wine. Did I mention I love dancing? :D

Música, películas y libros

I read pretty much anything I can get my hands on. Most of my favorite books are historical novels from authors like Kaari Utrio, Mika Waltari, Jane Austen, Wilbur Smith, Ildefonso Falcones and Ken Follett.

I have music playing in my head all the time, except when I'm actually listening to something. Mostly on my speakers are playing Bruce Springsteen, old swing music, Nordic/British/Celtic folk and folk rock, Finnish pop/rock evergreens or various movie soundtracks.

My favorite movies include the old Star Wars -trilogy, The Blues Brothers, Mary Poppins, Fight Club, Number 23, Frida, The Matrix, V for Vendetta, anything from Tarantino, anything from Tim Burton or anything with John Malkovich in it, to mention a few.

Favorite TV -shows atm are Penny Dreadful, The Big Bang Theory, Supernatural, Elementary, Doctor Who and Grimm, although Friends or Monty Python´s Flying Circus never become too old. I also enjoy British panel/comedy shows.

My exchange year in Durham, UK was definitely the most wonderful thing in my life so far.

Hmm. I love cooking, and that's definitely something I'd like to share! I'd love to cook with or for you, and if you can teach me something in that area I would be thrilled.
If your english is bad I can help you with that, and of course I can teach you some finnish, alongside with finnish culture with a (big) hint of self irony :D
