Overview
About Me
I am a quiet and calm Estonian. I grew up in the best enviroment I could think of, spent most of the time outside, discovering forests or playing with mud and snow. Know how to grow vegetables , keep chicken and rabbits (and it gives some comfort in this crazy world.)
On the perfect day off I would wake up early and go for a long trip on foot or by bicycle, and dream! I would sometimes stop to play with my camera or read a book.
Nevertheless, I love company and can't live without people surrounding me. I could sit in the kitchen with you for hours or go to a gig. Love to be dragged to every different kind of events, to see some modern art or listen to a lecture given by a wise person.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The best way to really get to know the place is staying with a local. I like to see architecture and nature, but to meet a local is to feel the soul of the place. I host because I love travel stories. To see somebody falling in love with Estonia makes me appreciate my home country even more. It is interesting to see Estonia from a different perspective.
Interests
Natural sciences, hiking, cross-country skiing, camping outside, sustainable living, cultures, subcultures, countercultures, folklore, nomadic life, psychology. Oh, it´s easy to get fascinated with so many different things, only tell me about something with passion and I will be delighted.

Music, Movies, and Books
(Weird) movies from all around the world: Stanley Kubric's 2001: A Space Odyssey, Bela Tarr - Satans Tango, Hal Ashby`s Harold and Maude, Kim Ki-duk, Pedro Almodovar...
Indie, alternative, jazz, folk, classical.
Books about nature and humanness within it. An Estonian Nikolai Baturin is my favourite. Love Milan Kundera and Haruki Murakami - they make me dream.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seeing people getting better in an intensive care unit and asking if bird cherry trees are already covered in blossom.
I have made a lot of hay using scythe and rake, I have fed chicken and held rooster in my arms.
I have been part of Baltic Way when I was 2.
And I have been on the top of Estonian biggest mountain - Suur Munamägi (318 m above sea level) ;)
