Hi there, I'm Rika.
I'm 22 years old and I love my life but since I'm a student I feel a bit sorry for my youth. Couchsurfing is my pill against the daily routine of University. If you help me to break out you'll have a place in my heart forever ;)

Ha! I wrote that paragraph one year ago. Meanwhile I'm 23, broke off my studies and concerned on dance, theatre and performance art. At the moment I mainly work as a yoga teacher and writer. But I don't rule out that my plans will change completely again.

Okay folks, I'm 24 now and live in Lisbon, working with NGOs, in bookstores and giving yoga classes. Actually I have no exact idea of what I'm doing here. My life feels a little bit like a soup right now and I'm just trying to find out which ingredients I like the most.

I'm 28 now and work as a journalist, screenwriter and director in Berlin. But I still welcome any opportunity to travel the world or host people.

I think it's so beautiful that every trip and every memory of a country is linked to the people that I met there, and especially the people who hosted me. Couchsurfing made it possible for me to have many great encounters and with some of my hosts and surfers I am still friends today.

It's just great how quickly you can go from "we were just strangers" to "hello, my house is your house"
I love how we trust each other and care for each other and that's why I always try to host at least as much as I am hosted by others :)
