Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My current mission is to just be happy and free.
ABOUT ME
My first true love was and always will be dogs. Dogs have smaller brains than humans but those brains are 100% emotion. I admire the way they feel things.
PHILOSOPHY
I guess I don't have a personal philosophy yet. All I can think of is corny yearbook quotes and other people's philosophies, so if I write those, they're not really personal philosophies, are they?
"Don't sweat the small stuff"
"Patience is a virtue"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I wish to surf couches! I believe I will host my, as of yet, imaginary couch in the future.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I haven't been an official "couch surfer" yet, but a friend and I made a trek across Canada one early summer and we stayed with friends of his whom I had never met, on their couches, so the experience was very couchsurfing-like from my perspective. The same friend also used to host surfers from time to time back in our hometown and I got to meet a few and always got a kick out of go random it was.

Music, Movies, and Books
Almost Famous is my favourite movie, closely followed by a bunch of those Pixar ones that make you cry and then a slew of those quirky romantic ones. But an action movie with a twist ending would probably have me captivated too.... I guess I'm pretty easy on movies.
I have this battered old 80G iPod that hasn't left my side in about 6 years and it has EVERYTHING on it. I listen to lots of different stuff. Some of my favourites are bands that my friends are in and anything that gets played on Triple J radio in Australia.
I am an avid reader. My favourite author is Ken Follett, who writes historical fiction series with really complex, developed characters.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've seen an Elephant while driving through Minnesota.
I once got picked up by a hearse while hitchhiking.
I ate a fillet of haddock caught by Vancouver Island Natives in the forest cooked on a hot stone by a fire and it was probably the best fish I ever ate.
I competed at the world life saving championships in 2012 and came dead last in almost everything, which I knew was going to happen going in, but I couldn't pass up competing against the world's Best lifeguards!
I have been living in Australia for the past eight months and am returning home to Canada very soon to continue exploring and having adventures.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have been told I'm a good teacher. I work with kids a lot and that requires a lot of patience. I once taught a blind 11 year old to swim... That was probably the hardest thing I've ever done.
I love learning and I think travelling is a good way to learn a lot about people and places.
