I am a student at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, in the United States. I've always lived in Massachusetts, and haven't traveled too extensively outside of New England. Just recently I began to travel abroad on my own, going to Ecuador and spending two weeks in the Amazon rainforest volunteering. I love being outdoors whether it's beach going, hiking through mountains, or going on long runs or bike rides. I appreciate tasty food and the company of good people. I'm always in search of the next big adventure. Whether it's physically strenuous or relaxing and peaceful, I don't think there's anywhere I wouldn't want to to travel to. This summer I plan to travel west across the United States with some friends and in the fall I hope to get the opportunity to study in the Himalayas of Bhutan.

Well...first of all, I'll say it again: I'm a university student. Therefore I'm cheap whenever I can be. I want to do a lot of traveling in my twenties but I want to stretch out money across as many miles as I can. But more importantly, Couchsurfing is a great way to meet people.
