ABOUT ME

Abut my character:
very friendly, energetic, happy, spontaneous person. I have some kind of vision, but don't know at all how I am going to do it. So I decided to travel more and maybe find a way how to connect my ideas with practice :). Sounds ambitious. But people really inspire me. I enjoy meeting new people. They always live a trace on me and they are making me a better person. I am very positive kind of person and it describes my view on people and world too. A bit idealistic.

About having fun:
don't have determinate way of having fun. Like to sing while someone plays a guitar on the beach; going to different kinds of parties organized by my friends, sociologists or people I barely know; going to international seminars organized by environmentalists :)); camping with a tent on some island; climbing on a mountains; researching a new town and meeting people;going to the Theatre; cooking; and yes, I am crazy about dancing!

About what I do:
I was born in Split, Mediterranean city in the seaside of Croatia. Moved to Zagreb almost 4 yeas ago, and till then, I am studying sociology on Uni of Zagreb.
On my first year of studying, I joined organization called "Zelena akcija- Green action", that is part of a global network "Friends of the Earth". Sometimes more active, sometimes less.
On the second year I joined AIESEC (the biggest and the oldest international students organization) and was working in team on organizing conference "Renewable energy rescource".
I joined student's organization of sociologists on my first year too, and last year I was coordinating organization of 7-day summer school for sociologists about all kinds of Social Movements.
This year I decided that I want to be more involved in Climate Movement, because since I know that something like that exists, I feel that something connected with that describes a way I want to spend my life. Since than, I am working on myself to be able one day to be as much useful as I can and to help to make this world be a better place, on global or on local level.
So this year, my focus will probably mostly be connected with volunteering for Friends of the Earth and with traveling !!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am not able right now to host people, I am sorry, but I would like to surf sometimes :).
And if you are going trough a Zagreb and we both have time, we can go to coffie, or I can take you to student's cafeteria if you are hungry- there is food very cheap :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had experience with hosting friends or people that I don't no so well, and surfing to places of people that I already know too.
About CS xp, I surfed in London for 10 days and it was great!

Musica, film e libri

About MOVIES, mostly I like movies with some history background (and prefer that some love story is in it :), like "Enemy on the Gates" !(about occupation of Stalingrad);also like some kind of SF movies, but with good message (like Avatar), or with touchy story - like August Rush; to watch documentary movies about environmental, political and social problems. I can watch good movie from any genre, but not horror movie.

MUSIC: I listen a lot of different kind of music, depends on how I feel and what I discover. Like rock, metal, classic music, Croatian rap music, like to dance on techno, pop and house music

Books:
Since I study sociology, I like to read sociology, especially if it is focused on social, economic, environmental, LGBTIQ and political problems :). A lot of different fields. And yes, like to research about history.
But I have to write one more thing. I adore Harry Potter. I red all the books, started when I was 10. And then, my brother was born. When he grown up enough, I started to read him HP, and we still have that kind of "our tradition" before sleep when I return to my hometown :). So I adore this books and I adore my little brother (who is not so little anymore xD)

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

-I was bicycling with my friend all around one island in Croatia last summer. We were sleeping in a woods and on a rocks in open air, where is no mobile signal or people. It was really challenging, scary and very beautiful at the same time. But I'm still not courage enough to go with that friend on something similarly
xD. I was scared to death these few days, that was first time I was really afraid for my life. After that I realized how I am happy to live this life. Life is awesome !!
