I am traveling out west, staying with friends, doing help exchange, visiting, ect...

ABOUT ME

I am a 54 year young woman traveling around North America at this point. I am a chef by trade but to supplement my income when my mom was sick, I did odd jobs to be able to take care of her.
I have traveled far and wide and lead a good honest life. Even though, I have been on couchsurfing since December of 2010, I have never taken advantage of it as I was caretaking my mom for 3 years. So now I am ready to venture forth and couchsurf which will be pretty easy as I have slept on alot of sofas in my day and most times prefer a couch to a bed anyway. I am flexible, easygoing, and can get along with the best of them.

PHILOSOPHY

I guess my personal philosphy would be to live life to the fullest and when your going somewhere or staying somewhere to give back in a way whether it is to cook, or help with the trash, the dishes, moving something, or just asking if you can be of service in any way. Almost like an exchange of like minded individuals helping each other out. If we all could give back, the world would be a better place.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

It is now February.2014 so I have not participated in any couchsurfing stays yet. I wouldn't mind cooking my host a meal or two. I also am up for helping my host out with any little job they need to do around the house as I am flexible and have done many odd jobs.
I am excited to meet people and see many parts of the world through couch surfing that I have not experienced yet.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My only experience with couchsurfing at this time has been sleeping on friends or my brothers and sisters couches when I breezed in and out of town.

Interests

I am interested in the world and how it works. Traveling, reading, frizbee, sailing, hiking, the beach, bodysurfing, learning guitar, learning spanish, taking flying lessons, camping, leaving the world alittle bit better than I found it even if it is the smallest thing as picking up trash or saying hi to someone you don't know.

Music, Movies, and Books

My interest in music is widespread from Cat Stevens, Jackson Browne, James Taylor to Mary Black from Ireland, or Frank Sinatra to Aaron Neville, Jon Secada.
Just way too many to name.
Same with books, mostly I like spiritual books on NDE-Raymond Moody, Brian Weiss, UFOs, the higher world, anything positive, uplifting. I also like books on eating raw-David Wolff. I like true adventure books. Again, there are just wonderful great books out there-too many to read in this lifetime.
I like movies with true stories. I like documentaries as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Probably the learning I have done through my travels. How much it has taught me about the world. I have done alot so I am not going to limit myself by saying one thing. One thing is for sure though, I have met some incredibly good, decent, kind, gentle, loving beings and I am grateful for this journey we call earthlife.

Have traveled many places so I have many stories. As I said before, I cook a good meal and can help out if someone could use a hand with something.
