About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Expand my horizons. I know, that sounds incredibly corny. I have discovered that I love to travel and in doing so have discovered how limited my world has been. That is something that I am working to change by whatever means present themselves.
ABOUT ME
Temporarily living in Elkford, BC for work, but still calling Rossland home.
Let's see...I'm short, brunette...not what you wanted to know?
I am a pretty adventurous person...I'll try (almost) anything once. New food, extreme sports...
What else? I like to learn new things. The history of the place I'm in, a few words of the language, how things work. I'm not afraid to make a fool of myself by trying to pronounce something in a language I don't speak, but I much prefer being able to pronounce it without making a fool of myself, and maybe even understand what it says.
Outgoing people bring out the best in me. I tend to be a bit reserved with other people who are also reserved.
PHILOSOPHY
Live life from day to day, making the most of what comes. The past in my mind and a glance towards the future, and the rest of me focused on the present. When all is said and done, what I remember will not be the interior of a church or a statue in a square, but the bizarre, the unexpected, and the personal encounters that leave an impression.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I finally signed up for CouchSurfing when i was almost done my last trip, in Europe. I went to a CS "meeting" in Berlin, and it was fantastic! So many cool people, from all over the place, from all different backgrounds, with different experiences, and we were all there simply because we had one thing in common - a desire to share ourselves and our experiences with others.
Now I'm hosting, and I've had a great time with everyone I've met!
Interests
Heaps of things.
I participate in lots of sports, though my interest in professional sports is pretty mediocre. Skiing, hockey, snowshoeing, rock climbing, diving, hiking, geocaching, swimming...
The history of a place, a culture, a language. Travelling makes me realize how little I really know.
The outdoors. Sustainable development.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: I will watch anything, but I tend to avoid horror movies, action movies with no plot, and base-humour comedies. That means I'd rather do something else than watch a bunch of people shoot guns at each other.
Music: A strange mixture of classic rock, instrumental stuff, light rock, alternative, and the metal that crept onto my computer under the influence of friends. Not much of a country fan.
Books: I tend to lean towards either fantasy or classic literature. Currently reading: Love in the Time of Cholera.
