CURRENT MISSION

To experience other countries besides my own. I'm a laid back, California girl who loves couchsurfing because of the opportunity it gives you to get an insider's experience of a city. My best experiences traveling have been because of meeting locals who know the best places to go, instead of looking on tripadvisor or something. I want to go beyond myself and my perceived limitations. It's all about being an open vessel and it's such an amazing way to live!

ABOUT ME

I love travel, theatre, dancing, performance art, music, going out! I believe I am a good listener and am considerate or others. Growing up Filipino-American has taught me a lot of lessons. Not your typical American girl, I am conscious and critical, an activist. I have crazy wanderlust!

PHILOSOPHY
Hold on tightly, let go lightly. This is one of my favorite phrases a theatre mentor taught me. It means to me to simply go with the flow of life, to hold on to the precious, fleeting moment with so much love and presence, and then to be able to enjoy the next moment without attachment and expectation of your past or future self. My biggest problem is nostalgia or planning too much, so this is something I try to follow!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have couchsurfed in Paris, London, San Francisco, Munich, and most recently San Sebastián! Haven't hosted yet, but once I have a place that I can host in, I will! I owe so much to my hosts.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Loved London because our host took us out to hang out with his friends during the Olympics and it was the highlight of my trip!

Interessen

I love adventures. I am a gemini so routine is uninteresting to me--except for yoga! I am always looking for new things to do! I am interested in acting, writing, music, dancing, snowboarding, hiking, art in general, and I'm a foodie!!

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

One amazing thing I did last summer is paddled with my outrigger canoe class in San Diego out to the open ocean! We road the waves together and cheered. It was such an adrenaline rush! We paddled back with the view of the sunset behind palm tree silhouettes.

I teach yoga, art, meditation, life talk. I want to continue learning Spanish and start learning German!
