About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Turn every day into a learning opportunity.

ABOUT ME

I've been to the Guggenheim and MOMA in NYC, but also got to have a dressed up picnic in central park and to smoke a shisha on a Manahattan roof; I've eaten Pierogi in Poland, but also spent an evening talking a mixture of every language i know (including Latin!) to a polish family in the garden of a little polish cottage by a lake; i've got to explore Penang's food scene in Malaysia but also got to share a bed with a truck driver's wife and daughter as he rescued me from a night in a bus station.
You've surely got my point by now. I like to travel YES, and i love to visit places, but what i love beyond it all is to discover a country through its people and the odd little adventures that come out of going beyond the tourist sites.

My Paris is nothing like the one you find in a guidebook, and neither are any of the places I lived in, and that's probably the same for you. Each of us has its very own conception of the place (s)he lives in, and that is what is nice to share !! That and our inherent human qualities and various personalities!

Once an aid worker, I've called numerous places home over the past decade and have loved every part of it.
Lately, I've anchored myself in Yangon, Myanmar, where I now work in Digital Rights and look at how to prevent social media from being weaponized against people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I discovered couchsurfing over a decade ago and have made it my go to place for meeting new people in the countries I move to. I've also surfed and hosted along the way and partaken and organised numerous CS meetings, particularly in Haiti and in Bosnia.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Traveling, to me, is as much about discovering people than it is about discovering places. It is about discovering cultures, be it through customs, language or food. But above all it's about enjoying the variety of this world, while discovering that in the end of the day we are all the same.

Couchsurfing gave me the chance to 'travel' in that way, both while away or at home !

Interests

I love a good conversation, love to be challenged, and love to learn or try something new. If all this can be combined, even better!
