About Me

I'm a 24 year old, currently working in the domain of textile exports in Mumbai. Just got back after a beautiful year and some more in England.

Born and raised in the city of Mumbai. I've been fortunate to have a lot of travels with family while growing up. My grandpa has trotted 52 countries, and that's my aim! I'm passionate about travel photography, play the piano, and also love writing. I'm an entrepreneur at heart and am working on a few ideas. Started up Mumbai Riders (www.facebook.com/mumbairiders.mr) in 2016. This was my first startup while I was working at KPMG - now we're the go-to brand for all weekend experiences in Mumbai - mainly curating cycle rides, heritage walks, nature trails. I'm a non-fiction reader - current favourite author being Yuval Harari. Love cooking - and happy to cook and teach some Indian meal (apart from curry, I'm sure you've had enough of that)!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Would love to host folks while I'm in England, as well as use the karma aquired through that to find hosts as I travel around Europe. Happy to host everyone back in India from 2019 onwards :)

Interests

Just being out in the Himalayas makes me very happy, besides that, white water rafting, local cusines, quaint and cheery pubs, books, history, ancient monuments or excavations, a good conversation, a hearty laugh, good food, conspiracy theories, and the list goes on!

Music, Movies, and Books

Shawshank Redemption, Pursuit of Happiness, all Bollywood movies! Atlas Shrugged is the most thought provoking book recently I read. Kite Runner, Freakonomics, etc are some other good ones!

Too varied and wide

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've jumped off an airplane from 15,000 feet. Skydiving was the most thrilling experience of my life! Others would include a mountaineering trip to Aiguille Du Midi, Mont Blanc in Chamonix, France or probably a road trip across Scotland, or a Trans Himalayan road trip across Ladakh last year. I'd read about it a thousand times, but wasn't prepared for this kind of visual feast.

Teach, Learn, Share

Anyone eager to talk about travel, experiences, books and of course food. I could share a few Indian recipes, familiarize visitors about Indian customs and practices and also take foodies for a few kinds of typical Indian breakfasts.

Countries I’ve Visited

England, France, India, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Malaysia, Maldives, Scotland, Singapore, Spain, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In

India, United Kingdom
