About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To save the Mother Earth :)
ABOUT ME
There is two of us: Me and my Indian husband-Pavan.
Pavan is a software engineer and works for Microsoft and I am a student. We are happy and a little bit crazy kind of people, always ready for adventure and spontaneous trips. We enjoy climbing forts and going for long rides with our car :)We love spending time together and meeting new people from all over the world. We often travel around South India at weekends- Feel invited to join us!
Food habits:
We respect the Mother Earth, we are vegetarians from Monday to Saturday. On Sunday we usually eat sea food.
Please note that we cook traditional Indian meals only.
Religion:
We respect all religions. We believe that every one in this world has a free will. We do not judge and we do not care if you are Atheist, Buddhist,Muslim, Christian or Agnostic.
However please not that in return we expect the same.
I am a religious person(Catholic) and my husband is Hindu. As you can see religion does not create any barriers for us.
PHILOSOPHY
“Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams.”
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We participate by offering the place to stay and show around. I love exchanging useful tips for those who come to India and Pavan loves telling the never ending stories about Hyderabad and other places.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We do not have much experience in CS and we would like to change it as we really enjoy meeting new people.
We hosted 6 people so far:
1) Rita from Russia
2) Armaan from India
3) Pooja from Lucknow(India)
4) Rahul from Chandigarh (India)
5) Shrivalli from Vizaq (India)
6)Marijana from Croatia-I have met her through our university and we were staying together as roommates for a period of 7 months.
Some of them deleted their profiles which makes me quite sad as they did not post a comment about us. Please guys, do not do that, it is really a problem to others if they are in your situation (looking for a couch).
Also, one of the reason why we stopped using CS in between because of too many date requests. Then I decided instead of keeping only my name I will also add my husband's name and luckily we are back.
There is one more good news: After coming back on stage I decided to verify myself so that you can know that I am a real person and we will not let you down.

For our guests traveling to Hyderabad:
AIRPORT:
If you come by an airplane during the week we may not be able to pick you up. However if you come on Saturday or Sunday night we would be happy to help.
For those that cannot be picked up by us we advice to take the AERO Express Bus from the Airport to Begumpet Station(Haritha Hotel/Katriya Hotel) and we will be waiting for you there. The cost of the bus for one way is Rs.175 (2.40 GBP; 2,81 EUR). The money can be exchanged at the airport but I would advise you to buy Rs. 1000 only (14 GBP,16 EUR) You can get better rate(cheaper) near our home. Of course it is your wish.
Here is the web page of AeroExpress Bus Service: http://www.hyderabad.aero/to-from-airport.aspx
For those who want to come directly by TAXI we advise to book the cab at the airport.
For those of you who decide to come by train we have a good news at it is not so far from our place and we will not have any issue to pick you up.

Taking AUTOS:
For many foreigners, especially those who literally look like foreigners(white skin and blond hair)
I advice to be very strict with AUTO-Drivers from a very beginning. Do not allow them to full you. Try to be confident, comfortable in your skin and be sure of who you are and where you are going. They are smart people and they may cheat you with price, that is why you should always bargain. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS: when you get in to AUTO make sure to not down the numbers, there are many stories where the drivers take foreigners out of the city and take the money from them. At the end of 2010 we were going for a ride outside the city and we met two male foreigners from France(Alain and Oliver), they have been robbed and left in the middle of nowhere. We canceled our ride and took them back to the city to a police station and then after few hours to their hotel. Please take my words very seriously, especially if you are a girl!

CITY BUSES:
We do not recommend to take CITY BUSES, they are always full of people...when we say "full of people" we really mean it! There is not enough of space to sit or stand(most of the time).
Hope it is helpful :)
