About Me

I'm from a small town in Portugal but I'm currently living in Lisbon to study. I'm a pretty chilled out person with a huge interest with people in general. From arts (specially music, literature/poetry and photography) to science and philosophy, I believe what has always glued all my different interests was culture and how people created it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I always had the urge to visit countries by living the real experiences they have to offer and not only (or at all) the standard touristic approach.

Music, Movies, and Books

I always find it hard to choose which movie/band/artist/book is my favorite. I think the most important thing about loving music or books or movies is to be ready to get to know stuff that we didn't before and being open to new points of view and experiences. I think I have always thrived to have my mind open to that.
Right now some of my favorite music genres are psychedelic, shoegaze, electronic including house and techno, etc. Some of my favorite bands are Tame Impala, DIIV, Slowdive, LCD Soundsystem, Beach House, Radiohead, Connan Mockasin, and some different stuff such as Against All Logic, Nicolas Jaar, Weval, Amelie Lens, Milo Spykers, I Hate Models, Molecule and KOMPROMAT.
As for books, the last one I read was Marcel Proust's "The Pleasure of Reading". The book I loved reading the most this year (as it is too hard for me to choose a favorite - but maybe José Saramago's "As Intermitências da Morte") was Fyodor Dostoevsky's "Notes from the Underground".

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share with hosts some funny stories and telling all I know about Portuguese culture. I look forward to cook some Portuguese traditional dishes. We can share long chill-out sessions and share our different life experiences
