About Me

I just finished studying in Valencia, Spain and am back in the USA. I have never had a chance to travel before my study abroad opportunity and I was able to do a mix of sightseeing, meeting local people and really seeing the new cities when I got to visit them. It was such an amazing time and I hope everyone can have this chance one day. I consider myself very outgoing and love to meet new people which is why couch surfing seems to be a great option for when I travel. I am in my forth year of college and am majoring in marketing and want to work in the music industry one day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe you can learn so much more about the world from meeting people who have different interests than myself, live in different places and it gives a person a deeper level of understanding. Reading a book can only get you so far. I love the sharing of ideas and hope through this I can meet some great new people and learn a thing or two in the process!

I have yet to host through couchsurfing or anything "official" but have had friends from Egypt, Ireland and Spain stay with me during their travels. I am hoping when I return to the states I will be able to host!

Interests

In my free time I spend a lot of time with my friends going to concerts and music festivals, finding fun hidden bars in Philadelphia or NYC and am involved in sorority life. Trying new foods is one of my new favorite things especially since beginning my travels in Spain a few weeks ago! Once I return home, learning to cook all of this amazing food will definitely be a goal of mine. Music is something I enjoy talking about and I prefer mostly indie/alternative. An interest has always been traveling and I can't believe I am finally getting this opportunity.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went to Southern Spain without a plan and just went with the flow for the entire 2 weeks. While this doesn't sound amazing at first it opened me up to new opportunities and meeting people on the road that I would have never done a year before. We saw secluded beaches, hitchhiked, were able to find small towns and local secrets that you can't find in a tourist guide. I was able to get outta my comfort zone and not plan ahead which was something I have always had to do in the past. It opened me up to a different way of traveling.
