About Me

I've done loads of hiking on the east coast west coast and Grand Escalante area, and have nineteen years around the Mendocino County area.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I grew up with my family hosting people from around the world. Based in Mendocino California we get a large amount of travelers through our town, either headed to the redwoods, or headed out to highway 1 for a beautiful coastal drive. I've met some of the best friend of my life through hosting, and hope to continue to be able to do so with my living situation in Portland, Oregon. I believe in giving back and I know when I have the opportunity to I will always do so to the best of my ability. I will be traveling some in the next few years, and after seeing the wonderful example put forward by guests and host alike I feel I can offer good company, and some help around the house.

For movies the Mad Max Series, Lord of the Rings, Hayao Miyazaki films, Cowboy Bebop, Logan, and Sense 8. Favorite books include, good omens, the four agreements, the wheel of time series, and the great gatsby.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in a tree house for the first eight years of my life while helping to construct our rammed earth house.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've been taking a one year outdoor competency based program of the east coast and have many different skills to offer. I have training in instructing the following: rock climbing, ice climbing, mountaineering, kayaking, canoeing, backpacking, orienteering and primitive skills (e.g. making fire with a bow drill, making a bow and arrow, carving spoons).
