About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live a life of which I can be proud

ABOUT ME

I'm an artist -I do drawing and painting and sometimes photography- who loves the outdoors. I'm a scuba diver, and I might end up in grad school majoring in marine bio, but for now I'm just an undergrad who will probably finish her major in environmental bio/wildlife bio so I can work for a national park.

PHILOSOPHY

Evil and sadness exist to make us appreciate the tiny pieces of good and beauty, which are often passed by as they float aimlessly through the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I live with my mother, so I have no couch to give. I took a semester off of college to travel and visit some schools, and as soon as I get my own place I will be giving my couch back to the program. :]

Music, Movies, and Books

All (or almost all) Vonnegut, Catch-22, Sherlock Holmes, lots of sci-fi books
I like most music; favourites include: Barenaked Ladies, Tool, Beck, R.E.M., David Bowie, Red Hot Chili Peppers...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watched a mother grizzly bear and her two baby cubs cross a road fifteen feet in front of me.
I've also been within arm's reach of a shark (not a nurse shark either) and I still have both arms- because sharks are NOT dangerous.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am well versed in the Zombie Survival Guide and have been planning for a possible zombie apocalypse, just in case the excrement hits the air conditioning. I can make a great cup of coffee (with the proper equipment) and I can remember song lyrics very well. I'm also pretty decent when it comes to math as well as inventive when it comes to problem solving outside the box... but don't expect me to come up with the simple solutions!
However, I am awful at folding clothing, and I always want to learn new things... so please teach!
