I'm back to couchsurfing with a proper place of my own so I can host!

I'm a recent London implant. I grew up in Dubai, went to school in Boston, and somehow ended up in between. Taking up a steady job has meant that I only get to travel via visitors' stories. That adds to my excitement to host.

Our apartment is on Westbourne Terrace just a few minutes from Paddington. It's within easy reach of the Hammersmith-City, Circle, Bakerloo and Central lines as well as the national railways. You won't have any trouble getting around London staying here. We have a super cosy couch, two comfy armchairs and plenty air-filled bedding to put out in the hall for guests.

I don't have absolute favorites. I can tell you whether I enjoyed something and describe how it inspired me. I avoid generalizing and comparing. Nevertheless, here's a glimpse:

Literature by Márquez, Neruda, Dostoyevsky, Kafka, Pamuk, Blake, Rilke, Plath, Ghalib. I read a lot more non-fiction these days.

Music: jazz, classic rock, Latin, some varieties of electronic that I find hard to name, any music that compels a dance.

I like my films foreign, indie, or neurotic. A small list: Ladri di biciclette, Rashomon, Cabaret, Jodaeiye Nader az Simin, Hannah and Her Sisters, Midnight in Paris, No Country for Old Men, Moonrise Kingdom, The Straight Story.
