ABOUT ME

I like to live life and have new experiences. I love being outside - hiking, exploring, riding bikes, rock climbing, gardening. I like making music with friends and filling my time with friends and family and good books.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to live my life in the moment, never to have regrets and learn something from all of my experiences and the people i meet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Right now I mainly use it for traveling, since I haven't stayed in one place or had a home suitable for hosting in awhile. But whenever I do have those things, I would certainly like to pay it forward and host fellow travelers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Stayed with Giuseppe in Sicily. It was amazing... rock climbing and camping for a night, meeting his friends, seeing Castellammare. Alla prossima giuseppe!

Interests

I am interested in experiencing the natural world through hiking, climbing, and observing. I love meeting new people and hearing there stories, where they came from, how they got here. I love to ride my bike and practice guitar. I'm learning how to be a better environmental educator and how to speak Spanish. I'm always interested in how to minimize my impact on the environment and become a better steward of the planet we all share.

Music, Movies, and Books

Right now I'm listening to a lot of reggae and old blues music. I'm trying to learn to play guitar like Mississippi John Hurt, so I've been listening to a lot of his songs.

My favorite movie of the moment is Up! I just saw it for the first time recently and loved it.

My favorite books of all time are East of Eden (John Steinbeck) and On the Road (Jack Keruoac). Newer favorites include Freedom by Jonathan Franzen and Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. I also love nonfiction books by John Krakauer and Michael Pollan. I love to read!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my travel experiences and my knowledge of Italian and Spanish. I can also try to teach you some guitar, although I'm still learning myself. I can also make a delicious pizza from scratch!
