To see and experience everything I can through traveling and meeting new people. This life is an adventure but it is too short to have regrets.

ABOUT ME

I am a twenty-two year old Korean-American female who loves to travel and experience new cultures and new ways of life. I encourage others to also expand their horizons because life is so full of countless possibilites and it would be so boring if everyone you met were the same and lived the same sort of lifestyle. I love cooking and especially eating. I like smart books, films and people. I like to dance without inhibiitons and especially in a long flowy skirt. I wish I could have been a hippie in the 60's.

PHILOSOPHY

Take steps to experience all life has to offer. I believe in something bigger than this world but I don't know if I would call it God or heaven. I don't believe in a pre-determined destiny but we do meet people for a reason and with each new experience we learn lessons that help us grow mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Everyone wants to be acknowledged as another human being and when paths cross, all we can do is treat others with a little decency and civility.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only had two couchSurfing experiences but I was listed with a friend and never had my own profile. I stayed with a friend in Amsterdam, someone I knew from Indiana University who is a true Dutch man. He didn't want to take us to any of the coffee shops and found the whole sale efforts disgusting, but couldn't refute it as a great way to boost the economy. I also stayed in London with someone I had never met before. They were very friendly, hospitable and tolerated my drunken misbehavior when I spent my 21st birthday with them. I didn't really misbehave; I only couldn't remember how to get back to her place and neither did the cabby so I had to unfortunately call her and wake her up. They did make me cupcakes for my b-day though!

Traveling, road trips, movies but also smart films (especially documentaries), creative non-fiction, yoga, eastern religions, dancing, cooking, trying new cuisines, wine & beer (wish I could be a connoiseur), photography, art, softball, riding bikes, swimming, camping, volleyball, football, meeting new people, listening to other people's life experiences and sharing my own, having random encounters with strangers (not sexual) because surprises are the best, spiritualism, I have a huge fascination with the paranormal, feminism, anti-racism, alternative energy resources, sustainability, green jobs now, Change from the hole Bush has dug us in, learning about organic farming, and I have an unhealthy obsession with the Food and Travel Channel and anything Anthony Bourdain

However, I like a very eclectic mix of sorts. I love the Oldies, some grunge, some dance or house music, R & B, underground Rap, some country and more. I love Bob Dylan because he is a poet and not because of his nasal voice. I like Tom Petty, Simon and Garfunkel, Smashing Pumpkins, Talking Heads... But for more contemporary times, I like Rilo Kiley, Regina Spektor, Kate Nash, Joss Stone, Adele, M.I.A., Afroman, Atmosphere, P.O.S., Immortal technique, Outkast, N.E.R.D., Vampire Weekend, MGMT, Radiohead, The Raconteurs, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, O.A.R., some Coldplay, Newton Faulkner, Kimya Dawson, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Flaming Lips, Kings of Leon, Kaiser Chiefs, and the list could go on and on.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Done: Got lost in Galway in Ireland and met an amazing stranger who escorted us, (my roommate Maggie and I), to a night beach party. We also got to see the sunrise every morning we were in Galway.

Seen: Witnessed my two best friends and former roommates begin their rapping debut as Mic Chilla and Fruity Cold with their parody rap skills.

Experienced: I got pushed out of the way by Antonio Banderas' body guard to make way so he could see the statue of David on his brisk walk through a museum in Florence, Italy. Cameron Diaz was there too. But I wasn't too excited about either celebrity. Sorry this wasn't amazing, but it was annoying.

Actually I was involved in a Korean gang and we had a DDR competition that got way out of hand and ended in a battle with Chinese throwing stars.

Teach: I learned to juggle with pizza dough at the pizza gig I had in college and would be willing to share my skillz. On the same note, I can teach you how to toss the dough in the air. I minored in Spanish and could teach some basic spanish. How to throw a softball pitch underhand at about 45 mph.

Learn: I would love to learn to speak spanish fluently, play the guitar, freestyle rap, break dance
