À propos de moi

CURRENT MISSION

Travel the world and learn from as many cultures as possible while we're young!

ABOUT ME

Both of us are young but have been fortunate enough to do a fantastic amount of traveling. Our University has sent us to places like India, Kenya, and Thailand, and our families have given us the opportunities to visit places like Canada, Mexico, Spain, Germany, France, Italy, Greece, Hungary, The Netherlands, and a few other countries.

We feel like we are just starting our "real" lives now and are more excited than ever since we're finally focusing on what we are passionate about.

PHILOSOPHY

As long as you're being respectful and considerate to others, go ahead and do whatever you want. Don't be constrained by external expectations, but just feel free and live your life however you want.

Rachael enjoys older classics, inspirational travel and health books.

Mark also likes reading technical text books for fun.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

The coolest thing I (Mark) have seen someone do is watch my friend Joseph Opiyo Olale build an orphan sponsorship program, a part charity/part non-charity school, and a successful internet cafe in the slums. After high school, he told his parents he did not want to be a teacher and then moved into the slums to begin building an orphan feeding program despite not having any money. He's just 26 and has done more by this age than most people do in a lifetime.

The coolest thing I (Mark) have done with my life is start an Engineers Without Borders project in Orongo, Kenya. Each of my four trips helped open my eyes to the world. I learned a lot about culture from traveling and even more about hard work and commitment during all the work our group put in while in the U.S. between trips.
