About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Traveling, learning about different cultures, improving my spanish
ABOUT ME
I'm a very open, enthusiastic person. I'm currently studying abroad in Madrid, and one of my favorite things about traveling and Spanish culture is how easy it is to meet new people. I get along with most people who are easy-going and friendly, just because I love talking to strangers, starting with a broad idea of who they are and then getting the details filled in for me. I love reading, watching movies, and walking around Madrid by myself and exploring.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am just getting started, but I foresee myself participating by trying to meet as many new people as possible and forge connections while traveling, as well as opening up my home for couch-surfers when I am living somewhere permanent. I think a project like this really fosters a positive and open attitude when traveling (which is really what traveling is all about) so I am eager to be a part of it.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
As I said, I have not yet couchsurfed and am hoping to do so with my friend Joanna. We would both be quite easy-going guests!
Interests
Right now my main interest is seeing and understanding Spain to the best of my abilities: the language, the places, the culture. More generally, I'm interested in meeting new people, because I've found in my past that almost all people and all experiences teach you something, even if you don't realize it at the time.

Music, Movies, and Books
I really love travel books, or books that have a city or place as almost another character: A Moveable Feast, Travels with Charley, Unbearable Lightness of Being, The Moor's Last Sigh.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most amazing things I've seen since getting to Spain is the Alhambra. The structure was completely breathtaking but it was also so amazing to be in something that you could actually imagine in its former incarnation--you're there not as an observer, but as almost a part of it.
