ABOUT ME

I am a mass of contradictions. I am a highly stressed laid-back person. I am serious with a good sense of humor and a tendency toward the silly. I am passionate and excitable and voracious for life while reacting aloofly toward many things. I am deeply compassionate except when I'm not...I don't know. I guess it's the actor in me. I can take any roll and be comfortable in any situation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Most of the couch-surfing I've done has been on te couches of loved ones. However, I am a live-in nanny. So you, could say I couch-surf my way through life.

Interests

I love music, dance, drum circles, singing, making mixes, etc...
I love film, acting (especially improv), attending the theater, and studying the human psyche through art.
I love to meet new people. I love to stay in. I love to travel and want more stamps than two in my passport.
I love the outdoors. Hiking, kayaking, swimming, just taking a stroll. Nature is my church. I feel especially at home near the ocean.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Lost in Translation, American Beauty, Princess Bride, Harold and Maude, Say Anything
Music: Lamb, Blackalicious, Tori Amos, Ani DiFranco, Dolly Parton, Sam Phillips, Dave Matthews Band, anything progressive or motown. I also dig classical and blues and gospel and folk. God! I just love music!
Books: I love to read a bout Pirates! Especially the women. Manifest, Francesca Lia Block, David Sedaris, The Princess Bride, Little Women, Steinbeck, A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been in the cockpit of an eight-person Sesna flying over the Grand Canyon and Hoover Damn. I was caught in a sand storm in Las Vegas. I went to the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh (my favorite city!).
