One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiking on the Kawa Karpo Buddhist pilgrimage on the border of northern Yunnan and Tibet. These were some of the most quiet, peaceful days of my life, yet one of the most physically demanding experiences I've had.
Tutoring elderly refugees in Chicago. It's humbling and heart wrenching to realize the difficulties that some people face when they're forced into a new country.
After being in crowded China for two years, sitting on the porch of my mother's house and hearing only the leaves blowing and cows bellowing in the pastures... that leaves me awestruck.
