About Me
Currently not hosting due to living situation. Hopefully soon!
As long as I get a good vibe from someone, I enjoy their company no matter who they are. I'm usually very chill, like at a large party I'll often try to find the smaller group to hang out with. I like to understand things even if I
don't enjoy or agree with them. I'm definitely more of a words and language guy than a math and science guy. One of my favorite things to do in life is talking to someone late at night about deep stuff and wouldn't you know it, CouchSurfing has given me several of those opportunities. I can go on and on, so I'm pretty much an open book, but you'll have to pick which chapter to turn to.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
"Be excellent to each other and party on, dudes!"
CouchSurfing brings us closer to the world i would love to live in. in my experience, it's a self-selecting group of friendly, open-minded people who're easy to get along with
Interests
i really enjoy hearing people talk about the interests they're passionate about. i remember going to a hardware store as a teenager and feeling like i wanted to hear this guy talk about paint all day, but i myself would never bother learning about the intricacies about paint

Music, Movies, and Books
music: it's all about the feelings
movies: i would love to live in the utopia of La Belle Verte. Casablanca is so quotable. Synecdoche, New York is a film i like to revisit. Parasite was the last movie that stunned me - i just sat there for 45 mins processing, thinking, and texting a friend about it
books: "Be Here Now" is basically my bible, i can go on and on about it. i honestly haven't read a whole book in many years. i think all the screen time makes it really difficult for me since reading a book is no problem if there aren't any screens around, but at home it's difficult now to sit through a single page
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
for 30 days, i decided to accept every CouchSurfing request that came my way. over the course of those 30 days, i had something like 25 people from 6 continents stay over with a peak of 7-8 people sleeping under the roof of a 1 bedroom house. i wouldn't do it again and was socially exhausted for weeks, but i'm glad i did
Teach, Learn, Share
"I am a human being; I believe that nothing human is foreign to me." -Terence
Can Teach: i used to be a secondary schoolteacher, so happy to help with any subjects though my strength is probably writing if you've got an essay for me to proofread and give opinions about. if you're learning Spanish, i can try to teach you the Mexican accent to make you sound not as American, though i don't know how to teach rolling your R's
Want to Learn: crafting, tying knots, anything mechanical because i’m TERRIBLE at those kind of things. i also like learning about cultures and subcultures. like what're the specific phrases you'd use in that space or what're the customs you're supposed to follow and what do those customs say about that culture?
Share: sharing time without a screen in front of our faces is nice. watching a show or movie isn't too bad if we can still talk
What I Can Share with Hosts
i almost always buy wine or beer for us before i even meet you, hopefully i remember to ask if you drink and which you prefer. i can always help out with household chores or tasks, like cleaning the kitchen or splitting wood. i can share laughs, smiles, love, stories, debates, opinions, skills, secrets, or my home when I get it up and running!
