About Me

I've been married to my lovely wife Jennifer for 3 years now, and we have our first child on the way in February. We're a couple of tech-savvy gamers that have lived all over the northern Illinois area, and are living in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago now. I like to spend time hanging out with family and friends most nights of the week, whether it be hosting a gaming party, going to a family gathering, or biking/running with friends along Lake Michigan. My wife and I also travel quite a bit around the USA, usually to see family or for me to run a marathon.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

VISITING ABROAD:
I'm flying solo to the UK for a music event in Crewe that I just can't miss, which means I get the opportunity to tour the country! I'm hoping to experience as much of the country as I can while packing light, and couchsurfing is a great way for me to learn about the local area and culture from the people who know it best.

HOSTING AT HOME:
My home is always open to good people, as we've had up to 5 roommates sharing our home with us over the last 3 years. Now that there's only 1 roommate, we have plenty of room for couchsurfers. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've run a few marathons, and I recently qualified for the Boston marathon!

Teach, Learn, Share

My specialties are cariovascular exercise, programming, computers, and obviously American culture, so I am happy to teach others whatever they may want to know about them! I'm very analytical and detail oriented, and thus have lots to share, whether it be with friends or new acquaintances.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a pretty decent cook, and definitely don't mind helping out with chores.
I used to be a PC technician, so I can fix most things with a computer/network.
I work as a programmer now, and I'm especially good at debugging code.
I enjoy just being generally useful, so feel free to ask for my help with whatever!
