We can not always host but are happy to give you a meal and advice in how to get around. We are two university-educated, retired professionals who have been happily married for 32 years and have raised three daughters. We retired to Costa Rica to live out our days in peace.

Rob (60): I am a retired engineer and financial analyst with 31 years experience at IBM (International Business Machines).

Jeni (58): I am a retired English teacher who spent nine years teaching my children at home.

We are healthy, curious, and quick to learn. We are patient with children and animals, tolerant of different religions but we are only fluent in English at this time. We do not smoke or drink and have no dietary restrictions.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My daughter couchsurfs and so hosting is a way to give back to the community. We love meeting new people because it causes us to learn new things - places, people, language, etc.

Interests

I enjoy computers, finance and water management and my wife enjoys English, knitting, quilting and readings.
