Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I knew the site when I lived on Santiago, I go to some partys with the people of couchsurfing, and I love it =)

But....

I have had wonderful experiences and met some great people, unfortunately others have been harsher, beyond customs of every being, sometimes some guests were rude, and have shown that their intention is only a place to sleep, and at least my home, is a meeting point to share and grow.

If you do not have empathy, and just want a place to stay, my home is not the place to visit.

Some people have come, let all my place dirty, also sometimes they shown a xenophobic stance and that does not seem very cool to me, sorry for that because those bad experiences leaves bad taste... and even more, talks badly about their family of origin, manners and main culture.

I prefer someone kind, someone who has a desire to really know another being with affability, and to enjoy a good time together. I just ask what I give too =)

There is nothing more deplorable than someone just looking to receive without giving anything in return, which is in the step of ego that they just want to meet their needs regardless of it for the person who opens the doors of your home with love and confidence.

In my experience with couchsurfing I've met wonderful folks with whom we have learned a lot and people to add value to each other too; but other times I've met people who are looking for a kind of free hotel, which shows a terrible selfishness.

I think Couchsurfing is a platform for cultural exchange and mutual enrichment, not just a way to save money when traveling.
