Enjoy life, enjoy the journey and the people, be open minded, teach and practice tolerance, and continue to learn every day.
On March 10, 2015, I left the United States (Miami/Key West) to start a multi year/multi country world journey. I'm starting in Central America (learning Spanish in Antigua, Guatemala) for a couple of months, and then I'll continue on - spending most of the remaining part of this year in Central and South America. I'm not exactly sure everywhere that I'll go or how long I'll be gone, but I anticipate being gone 10 - 12 years as I travel through Africa, Europe, China, Japan, Thailand, Nepal, India, Middle East, South Korea, Vietnam, Polynesia, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand etc...
I'm very laid back, down to earth, extremely open minded, liberal, non judgmental. I'm free spirited and I don't have many personal boundaries that prevent me from enjoying life to its fullest. I enjoy sharing new experiences with travelers and hosts...creating lifetime memories.
Updated November 2014 - Due to Couchsurfing Redesign
Until today (8/29/2015)...you could not see any groups that a person had joined. Today I noticed that they have added back one's groups, but only a handful of them. They are located under the "Overview" section just under the host picture, but it's not a complete list, and it doesn't explain why you joined that group (like it did in the older version)
Since it's an important part of YOUR decision as to whether or not you would choose someone as a potential host or guest, I have added the links below to the Couchsurfing groups that I have joined, with a brief description about why I joined that particular group. You will soon know more about me than you ever imagined. : - )
I joined this group because I am traveling around the world and would enjoy traveling with other open minded guys.
I joined this group because I would like to find temporary jobs along my travels. I think www.workaway.info has made this much easier
I joined this group because I enjoy hosting and being hosted by other gay Couchsurfers. However...I'm definitely straight friendly.
This group is pretty self explanatory. I enjoy drinking beer, particularly darker beers like porters and stouts.
I joined this group because I love being naked! It's very liberating. I enjoy hosting and being hosted by other clothing optional Couchsurfers.
I love the guidelines of this group and that's why I joined it. I love talking about sexuality, particularly with people that are still bound by societal and cultural norms. I enjoy helping them open their minds to additional opportunities.
I thoroughly enjoy both giving a receiving a massage. I think that human touch is healing, and that we need it. If you enjoy receiving a nice relaxing massage, I'm always looking for volunteers.
Well...because it is! I love watching amateur porn, especially Xtube.com. I also enjoy watching porn with someone else.
Masturbating is fun also. I have a very high sex drive, and masturbate frequently to prevent myself from going insane. This is another activity that I enjoy doing with someone else.
I think most guys wear underwear to bed, but I generally never wear underwear (too constricting)...and I've slept naked for as long as I can remember. This is not a sexual thing, just a comfortable way to sleep.
As you can see in my profile, I did quit my job and now I'm traveling around the world. I highly recommend it to everyone. It's not as difficult as you might think.
I'm still learning about this organization, but I love what they stand for and their way of life, and would like to learn more during my travels.
Anyone who knows me knows that I'm just a big kid. I don't look my age, I certainly don't act my age, and I enjoy staying young at heart.
Interesting name for a group...I agree with their guideline statement - too many people are afraid to explore their own sexuality, and deny themselves all of the freedom that comes with self exploration.
I've owned a couple of my own businesses and I enjoy speaking with other current or previous business owners.
I'm a huge Family Guy fan, and tend to watch it frequently on Netflix when I'm traveling.
I enjoy playing cards and games at home with friends and travelers. This includes games like Taboo, Pictionary, Scattegories, Jenga, Uno, and I should probably throw beer pong in here as well.
I might love drinking wine even more than beer...and I LOVE drinking beer. I tend to prefer red wines like Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon.
Who can resist decadent mouthwatering chocolate? This is definitely a weakness of mine.
Yo hablo Espanol pero quiero aprender mas. I took 6 weeks of Spanish lessons in Guatemala, and I can speak just enough to be dangerous.
I am 100 percent addicted to Couchsurfing! Even though I don't agree with many of the changes they have made recently, nor the people who have joined recently that don't understand the true concept, but I'm still addicted. I also have a profile on BeWelcome.com
I love waking up in the morning to a tall cup of strong black coffee. Starbuck French Roast is my favorite, but a day without coffee is disastrous.
I've been an atheist for many years. While I have many friends that believe in God, and I respect their beliefs, for me, it's a ridiculous myth that sadly ruins more lives and countries that it has ever helped.
I'm traveling around the world now, and I'm constantly running into people who have left their homeland in search of a better life somewhere else. I highly doubt that I will return to the U.S. to live, and hope to join some expat communities when I'm done traveling.
The concept of pansexuals is intriguing to me. Being sexually attracted to another person regardless of gender and sex....when one is attracted to "the moment" which is blind to age, race, gender.
You read above that I enjoy masturbating, so if I have slept on your couch before, there's a great chance I wanked right on it. And for future hosts...
I've met so many people who THINK they are open minded, only to find out that they are not as open minded as they think. I love being around like minded/open minded people who are OPEN to all ideas and seeing things from different perspectives.
Those are the Couchsurfing groups that I joined. Future hosts that read my profile (especially down this far) and still want to host me....thank you - we're going to share great life experiences.
I love meeting new people and I love hosting and showing visitors around whatever city I'm in. I've been very fortunate to have had the opportunity to travel and learn other cultures. I am always fascinated by them. Everyone has a story to tell, and I am eager to listen. I learn from others daily, and hope that in some way, our paths cross for a reason. I enjoy listening about the journey others have taken in life.
I enjoy people who like cooking, hanging out at the beach, talking about sex, camping, kayaking, live music, watching porn (lol), good beer and wine, happy hour, movies, game nights at home, and most importantly - those that are open minded/free spirited with a "live and let live/Carpe Diem" mentality and those who just want to relax and enjoy this carefree hedonistic lifestyle that I've grown to love so much.
I'm aware that my profile is "in your face" - that's by default - it keeps the conservative, boring, uptight, and sexually repressed travelers away from me. If that describes you and you are seeking freedom from a trapped/suppressed/monotonous life and want to express yourself freely, I enjoy providing that opportunity. Otherwise - I specifically choose to host guests and request hosts that are on the extreme liberal side - it makes life so much easier - and a hell of a lot more fun!
The world is our playground - it begs us to come play - but WE make our lives so complicated - and the truth is...life is NOT COMPLICATED!
Make it easy - let go - give in - and PLAY!! Explore the world...explore YOUR world - step out - question EVERYTHING - have fun!! Step outside of your personal comfort zone...do something fun/exhilarating, you'll be amazed at how awesome life CAN be! Boundaries are boring and prevent you from enjoying everything that life has to offer! The exhilaration of expanding your boundaries...priceless.
Treat others the way you would want to be treated. If that is the only rule you follow in life, you will have a great life!
"You are a transferable medium. You imprint yourself on people that you meet, speak with, or travel with... in no more than mere random conversation... and when you separate from that person... they will carry you to wherever they go, taking you with them. Knowing that your influence in the world is involuntary... and it's almost completely outside of yourself... do everything you can do make that influence your very best for the world."
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've been couch surfing now for a while, and I've got to tell you - it's awesome! I've stayed on several couches, I've had many people stay on my couch, and I try to attend as many CS functions as my schedule allows.
I enjoy hosting events, creating opportunities for local couch surfers to meet each others and introduce their friends to the couch surfing community. I hope to meet some more great people, share great discussions and memories, and maybe even make a couple of friends along the way.
I'm on my 8th year of CouchSurfing, and I still think it's awesome! I have made some great acquaintances and friends. I'm always impressed with how cool people are, and how complete strangers are really only friends that you haven't met yet. I can't tell you how many times I've been driving home from work thinking it would be a routine night at home, and then see a last minute couch request..and an hour later I'm hosting some cool person from some random country...it's pretty amazing actually!
Worldwide travel - especially Europe and the Caribbean. Enjoy making new friends, movies, music, cooking, hiking, camping etc..
You can find me on Facebook by entering this number 8139287698 in your search.
I have an eclectic taste in music, from Faith Hill to Dave Matthews Band, to Madonna, to Rage Against the Machine, Limp Bizkit, Static X to Rascal Flats, to Sarah Brightman, Alannis Morrisette, Puddle of Mudd.
My movie tastes are just as spread out - some of my favorites are American Beauty, Slumdog Millionaire, Sicko, Doubt, Seven Pounds, Eating Out, Shortbus, Training Day, Crash, Derailed, Latter Days, We're the Millers, Bad Teacher, End of Watch, Taking Lives, Wild Things, Cruel Intentions, The Sweetest Thing, Minority Report.
I'm a big fan of Family Guy, Bob's Burgers, and American Dad. And who doesn't like a little South Park? I like The Apprentice, Biggest Loser, Kitchen Nightmares, Master Chef, Orange is the New Black, New Girl..just to name a few.
I recently quit my job, sold my house, my car, my furniture, all of my clothes...and have started a world journey.
I used to own a large nightclub in Ybor City, which is not necessarily that amazing, but it sure was fun.
January 2009, I spent several nights with other couch surfers in Washington D.C. to witness history being made (the inauguration of Barack Obama) It was awesome!
I'd gladly teach English to anyone who wants to learn. I can share my limited knowledge of cooking, massage, and beer drinking.
I love to cook, clean, help out around the house or with special projects, and my friends/previous guests say that I give great massages...but I'll let you be the judge of that. I'm not professional but I enjoy helping someone relax, particularly after they have worked all day.
