Got a year to explore as much as I can before heading off to Uni.

I enjoy writing, albeit badly, and playing guitar. I have a pretty big music collection so love to share tunes as well as leech music from other people.

Getting deep is pretty much a hobby. So if someone's keen I'm always up for a full-on discussion (about pretty much anything really.)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Just starting my gap year in which I'll occasionally (mostly O.o) be on my lonesome and meeting people as I go. The kind of people I'd meet through Couchsurfing would really make it perfect.

I'm happy to keep to myself and explore solo, but I would love to really get to know my hosts. I basically want to bellyflop into the deep end of whatever culture I'm in. As well as being great to get to know, hosts will always have the best knowledge on how to get the most out of a city and all its nooks and crannies.

Once I'm settled back in Britain I hope I can start hosting and pass it on!

Movies I've loved include Moonrise Kingdom, Shawshank Redemption, Hot Fuzz, Les Intouchables, Life is Beautiful and The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Too many to list but there's nothing like being introduced to a great flick.

Favourite books include Three Men in a Boat, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, The Gift of Rain, Water for Elephants, The Name of the Wind and Catch 22.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Performed in Guitars On The Beach which was the biggest band to ever perform in the UK. Classic Britain in that it rained despite being 'Summer' and we played on regardless.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If there's a guitar around I'd be happy to share some music. Otherwise, I'm not completely inept at cooking so would happily give a hand. I know a fair few card games and am happy to be sharked at a new one as long as I get to learn a new game.
