Hi!

I'm Robbie! I'm 22 and have just graduated from university. I've been at home the past few months working in a cocktail bar and at home to fund a trip to Spain to learn Spanish! Now I've saved up I've finally booked my trip to Barcelona and will be studying at Ole Languages Spanish language school for a month!

I'm a very openminded, understanding and respectful person. I love learning about and trying new things, I want to learn as much about the world as possible. My interests are quite varied, I'm a bit of a jack of all trades: I'm an adrenaline junkie, I love exciting and more often then not dangerous pastimes such as rock climbing, MMA, cliff diving and going swimming on Brighton beach after a night out drinking. I love reading and watching movies. I've also developed a new interest in antiques, furniture and other bits and pieces since working for a month or buying and selling things on eBay. I love fixing tired and broken things up and making them look beautiful again, and who knew nail polish was the best thing to use to gets chips and scratches off electric guitars!

But more regularly I spend my time going running, climbing/bouldering, reading and take a bit of time to meditate every day.

I'm a massive animal person! I have three dogs at home, two black labradors and a crazy black cocker spaniel, and one cat called Clemmie, she's nearly 23, no one knows how.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I'm on Couchsurfing because I love meeting people and making new friends, cliche I know, but it's true! While I'm studying in Barcelona for a month, staying with locals will give me the best chance to learn more about Spanish culture, the people and of course the language! I also want to see Barcelona from a local's perspective. You can miss so much being a touristy tourist sometimes. I want to know how Barcelona really feels.

Also, although I've never couch surfed myself personally, I have had the wonderful experience of cohosting a total of 5 couch surfers whilst at university with my three flatmates. These experiences have been the highlights of the year, and I have met really great people.

Movies - Inside Out, Home, Tangled (Any pixar or Disney movie really!) Into the Wild, Seven Pounds, Life of Pi, Full Metal Jacket, The East, The Great Gatsby, The Dead Poets Society, Nelson Mandela, Fight Club, City of God, 300, Interstellar, Everest, The Lucky One... Those are my favourites

Music - I love the Weeknd, Years and Years, Filous, Fouls, Sia, James Brown, Beck, Pink Floyd, Two Door Cinema Club, The Strokes, Jimi Hendrix, Coldplay and I can't believe I'm saying this but Justin Bieber's killing it at the moment. Into house, pop, electronic and funk/soul.

Books and Authors - LOVE reading! Jon Krakauer, Victoria Hislop, Mitch Albom, Jack London, H. G. Wells, Aldous Huxley, George Orwell, John Green, Scott Mariani, Alice Sebold and Alan de Botton are among my favourite authors. I can absolutely loose myself in a book and I love how intensely they can affect me and others around me.

This is a tough question. I love doing lots of crazy and amazing things. Lets do some more ;)

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I love going for walks and I tend to find myself walking for hours on end when I travel to a new city, just drinking in the feel of it.

Lets go climbing, jam together or go to open mic nights with a guitar, go swimming, go drinking, go cycling, let me teach you a few cocktails maybe ;) Lets go bargain hunting and pick up antiques, furniture and things that we can paint and repair, maybe spend an evening cooking up a meal, go running, go to museums, art galleries, go out dancing, go slacklining, go rollerblading or iceskating. Or we could chill at home and chat, listen to music, or watch a movie.

If you like any of those things you'll probably get on with me!
