About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To get out of the rat race

ABOUT ME

Originally from Mareeba, which means 'meeting of the waters' in Aboriginal, or 'home of the banjo playing hillbillies' in Australian.

Now I live at base of the rainforest covered mountains, in Smithfield, Cairns.

Im passionate about nature, wildlife and conservation.

Im always keen to learn new things and share what valuable knowledge I possess with those who wish to learn.

You'd struggle to find me in a bad mood as I believe we decide how we feel and the experiences the world offers.

Make sure to mention the word 'doppleganger' if you wanna surf my couch.

PHILOSOPHY

Ha! One of the questions to inspire what to write here says, "Why do you live your life". To be honest I dont know what else to do with it! "Feelings? Thoughts" Yep, they're many, complex and deep but most importantly their positive!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Host when I can and surf when I can. I aim for myself and fellow CSers to finish our experience together a little more enlightened, however that may be :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Im yet to meet someone I wouldnt describe as 'cool' and who Id hesitate to meet up with again. Its a community which attracts open minded and wickedly interesting people. With each person I meet the more awesome I know the couchsurfing phenonema to be. Long live Couch Surfing!

Music, Movies, and Books

Keeping true to the duality of man, Im a military historical junkie. 'Monash:the outsider who won the war' should be compulsory reading for all Australians (at least a summarised version), crazy adventure stories plus stuff to improve the sentient being I am.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitch hiked with a mate from Townsville to Brisbane (1400km) when I was 18 for a music concert.Formed close bond with Wedge Tailed Eagles at Cairns Tropical Zoo and played with 4m+ crocs there too. Survived hangin out amonsgt the Red Shirts on May 19th. Went into a minefield in Cambodia with Akira. Did a 470km bike trip around Cambodia, culminating in checking out the fantastiv view from Preah Vihear. Most importantly, realised I control what happens in my life and within my world.

Teach, Learn, Share

Training, behaviour modification, shaping, operant conditioning, call it what you will, it's magical stuff. I love using it and most importantly teaching it. Anyone who takes the time to understand the concepts involved has no option but to be a better person, for themselves and those around them! Curious? Then ask!!!

Countries I’ve Visited

Cambodia, Laos, Philippines, Thailand, Viet Nam
