About Me

In May 2018 I started for an adventure, having off from my work for a year, taking my backpack and travel :) So far I rode on the Transsiberian Railway, hiked at Lake Baikal, climbed the Great Chinese Wall, walked the Camino de Santiago and now let‘s see what’s going on in the Southern hemisphere :) I would be happy and thankful meeting you on the way, spending some time together, get to know your country, its history and traditions, how you live, listening to what you tell me, sharing stories and experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it's the best way to get in contact with people, to get to know cultures, ways of living, to understand place and people and to dive into.
I used to live in shared appartments for years and I loved it. So I bring some experience in living together :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music
Almost everything, from Radiohead to Miles Davis, from Beethoven to System of a Down

Books
I soaked up Pablo Neruda, Ian McEwan, Philipp Roth and I like travel literature (especially by Andreas Altmann and Sovietistan by Erika Fatland). Currently I am reading Amin Maalouf. And from time to time I read some nonfictional works, for example Born to Run (Christopher McDougall) or The Story of the Human Body (Daniel Lieberman).

Movies
I like dark superheroes like the Batman movies by Tim Burton, other movies I like Southpaw, 2001- Space Odyssey, Apocalypse Now, SciFi like Blade Runner or Total Recall. And I love Pulp Fiction and the strange comedies from the Cohen Brothers and the Scandinavian ones.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Telling my company that they have to make it without me for one year because I am off for travelling.

Living in India for 6 months for a traineeship - and of course for lots of travelling :)

Teach, Learn, Share

Life is good, when you share! That's what I am living, so let's find out what we can share.

I can teach you some German or English, maybe fix your computer :)

Travelling for me is learning, every moment, everything.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A good time, stories, experiences, a helping hand, curiosity for new things, breakfast with omelette and best coffee ever! :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Austria, Belarus, China, Czech Republic, France, Hungary, India, Italy, Kyrgyzstan, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Russian Federation, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey
