Hi, I'm Robert. Currently I am working as a physical therapist in the Delft region. I discovered travelling outside of Europe during my 2 Internships which I did in a children hospital in Nepal and a sports clinic in Sydney. I met a lot of new people and wanted to continue this vibe through couchsurfing.

During my holidays I often worked at a farm and as a carpenters assistant which I greatly enjoyed. The outdoor lifestyle and being creative is something which really appeals to me.

When I'm not working, I enjoy doing all kinds of sports and enjoy trying new ones. Recently I started climbing and am not very good at it :). I also enjoy watching a good game of football and playing many different board games (Catan being my favorite).

To meet new people and hear different amazing stories. I also enjoy a good discussion about a wide variety of topics.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I enjoy a wide spectrum of music from more heavier styles such as from Poets of the Fall and Dream Theater to more mellow tunes from Nujabes and the Glitch Mob.

Movies: I don't watch too many movies but can definitely enjoy a good one. Ones that have stuck we me are Whiplash and The Enigma Code.

Books: I enjoy reading autobiographies (Bear Grylls) and war stories. Besides this I also read books related to my profession in trying to improve myself.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Made a 3 week hike through the Himalayas going over 2 high passes up to Mt. Everest Basecamp and back down.
