Hi!:) I'm Robert, I'm a Christian. I was raised in church and taught to believe in JESUS but I chose to chase after sex and drugs instead:( (!Bad Idea!) By the time I was 25 I had spent half my life locked up in juvy, jail, rehab, mental institutions, and prison. I have stolen from my family , friends, and my fellow man to pay to get high. I became a complete failure at life and the older I got the more hopeless it seemed that I could ever turn around.(Don't Think That!!) Finally at 25; in prison I knew how crazy and helpless I was... No matter how hard I tried to change I kept going back to drugs! I knew it would take a miracle to change me and I had been told all my life that JESUS was real and that HE still worked miracles!! For the first time in my life I was ready to do whatever it took to find JESUS (if HE was real) and ask him to help me. I started reading my bible intently and praying to JESUS every day 3 times a day. I even tried my very best not to sin and keep myself pure; but weeks went by with no answer from GOD and I was starting to get discouraged... Luckily I had a Christian cell mate named Gino who had found GOD recently that kept encouraging me and saying Don't give up! You're so close!!:) He was so happy and sincere I couldn't help but believe him! Finally one morning I woke up at about 4am and got down on my knees to pray. I was going to say the sinners prayer like I had 1000 times before in my life but this time all I could get out was "JESUS I heard that".... All of the sudden I felt the most incredible feeling shoot through my whole body! It was the coolest and scariest and best high I have ever felt in my whole life!! I was shaking and sobbing with joy and also at the same time I felt sooooo ashamed.... I couldn't believe that I had doubted That JESUS was real and not even tried to seek GOD for so long!:/ I have to tell you that GOD is real. JESUS is real. The HOLY SPIRIT is real and if you will pray to JESUS and ask him to help you HE will. Just don't stop asking!! I've been out of prison a few years now and GOD is bringing me and my family back together, helping me stay clean from drugs, helping me pay back the things I stole. HE has blessed me with a wonderful girlfriend and great friends, and HE is helping me pursue the music career I've always dreamed of!! I'm a singer/songwriter, I play multiple instruments, I'm a composer/arranger, and a performer. I also have recently begun to add beat and electronic sound design as well as producing to my resume. Now I'm currently in the middle of recording my first album and putting a band together. I'm also working on my live performance at (Java Jungle open mic) Reno Nv. Mondays at 7pm. You should come!
