About Me

I am a very open-minded person, I like to learn about people, places, and get to know everything I can. I love cooking, so always expect some Brazilian homemade dishes from me (you'll not be disappointed I promise, our food is truly amazing).

I'll always have a story to share if you want to listen, and I'd love to hear everything you have to say - that's what I call my anthropologist side, I'm currently graduating in Anthropology and I couldn't be happier with my choice!

Although I'm not really into math, I'm a big astronomy enthusiast and I try to learn as much as I can about the universe and the wonders around us. Count on me to look up for hours during starry nights.

I'm easily amazed and I can't think about a single place I don't want to go, always up to a adventure! Can't wait to have new experiences to fullfil a relatively new but hopefully big collection.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I don't want to be a tourist seeing from the outside, I want to live the full experience and show a piece of Brazil's culture for anybody who wants to immerge in it.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to everything, from pop music to classical; my favorite artists are actually kind of underrated and I'm a HUGE fan of Of Monsters and Men.

My favorite book genre is fantasy (yes, I love Game of Thrones, specifically the books with all the political questions, but I promise to only discuss it if you want to) and I like to watch almost all kind of movies and documentaries, I enjoy pop culture like Star Wars as much as I enjoy independent or cult movies.

In the end, though, my heart belongs to animation movies. I absolutely love Studios Ghibli and all that comes from it, my favorite one is Howl's Moving Castle. Of course my inner child also cheers for every brand new Disney movie - but talking serious now, I believe cartoons aren't exclusively made for children at all, there are so many good lessons and feelings in there to be enjoyed by a grown-up, so let's just watch them all and sing along hahaha

I also enjoy anthropological reading (well, kinda obvious I guess), my favorite authors are Margareth Mead and Ruth Benedict, those girls were rad! Movies and articles about robotics are always welcome, AI is something I'm really into.

And finally, I don't watch a lot of TV/Netflix series so don't expect me to know stuff about it, but I can always take recommendations and give it a try!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I climbed to the top of one of the biggest waterfalls we have, an indescribable sensation and a breathtaking view, I'll never forget it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to learn about new cultures and share some of mine. I will gladly help students of english and portuguese, and teach you the best Brazilian recipes! Cooking is a real passion so I try to collect local recipes when I travel, I think tasty food always evocates (and creates) nice memories.
