About Me

Hi everybody! :)

I'm Roberta and I come from Sardinia, a beautiful island in the middle of Mediterranean Sea.
I study Politics and economy of development at the University of Bologna and I am very engaged in energy-related policy issues such as global climate change and sustainable development.

I'm extrovert, generous, impulsive and spontaneous.
I try to be nice, and I think humor is the flavor of life.
I really like to travel and am pretty adventurous.

My dreams are always big: if it is already a dream, why not dream big?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think that strangers are friends waiting to be met!

Couch surfing it's a way to see the world with a local perspective.
It’s a way to intimately experience the real culture of your destination’s everyday life.
And above all it’s a way to make friends on the road, to escape typical tourist traps, to learn other languages and gain new perspectives.
You meet so many people along your journey and they all influence you in some way.
It's great for self discovery, facing your fears and realizing your hidden potential.

Music, Movies, and Books

I dislike being asked to identify my “favorite.” I know that some people seem to love this question and they have a favorite book, favorite movie, favorite restaurant or favorite music.
Probably I'm a little bit weird but I find this exercise distressing: how can I possibly pick something like a “favorite” book? It’s impossible! And to me, picking a “favorite” somehow makes all the other options seem less interesting.
I don't want to stuck in the same old routine, I always want to try something new and discover new things.

I'm an open minded person, I listen to all kinds of music: jazz, rock, hip-hop, rap and even classical music.

I don't like romantic movies and I'm addicted to TV series: Breaking Bad, The Shield, Prison Break, Shameless, Dexter, Empire..

I like to read because all leaders are readers. If we choose the right books, there will be enough that we can take and apply in our lives.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I slept like a Bedouin in the desert in Tunisia, it was an incredible experience! :)
The stars were incredible. With zero light pollution, you could see the Milky Way over the sand dunes and I was completely transfixed.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Food, italian lessons, stories...and experiences. I'm a good listener.
I rather enjoy listening more to others' stories. I already know my own; they aren't new anymore.
