About Me

I am a latina woman, brazilian, and nordestina (a term that goes beyond simply being from Brazil's northeast—it carries deep cultural and regional significance that I hold dear). I’ve been increasingly recognizing myself as a descendant of black and indigenous peoples and have been working to reconnect with my ancestrality.

I was fortunate to be born and raised in João Pessoa, a beautiful coastal city. However, as soon as I graduated, I embraced a more nomadic lifestyle and began exploring the world. I’ve moved cities many times, sometimes returning to the same one. I've lived in Pipa/RN, São Paulo/SP, Itacaré/BA, and spent seasons in other states like Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro.

Along the way, I’ve explored countless hobbies—capoeira, running, movement flow, yoga, circus arts, pottery, poetry, maracatu, woodworking, embroidery, inline hockey, skate, surfing (waves on this case haha), rollerblading, rappelling—and even tried practices like massage, tantra, Reiki, auriculotherapy, and eyebrow design. My curiosity knows no bounds, and I love exploring new ways of experiencing and existing in the world.

Now, I’m diving into a new experiment: moving to Australia, with a stop in Los Angeles along the way. I don’t yet know which city I’ll end up in or exactly what I’ll do, but I’m excited for the journey ahead!

I’m looking forward to meeting people, exploring new places, and embracing whatever comes next!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe it’s a fantastic way to travel, especially when you’re on your own, as I often am. There’s nothing quite like discovering a city through the eyes of locals, it’s an experience that’s truly incomparable.

Although I’ve only used Couchsurfing a few times to stay at people’s homes, I mostly opted for hostels as a way to meet new people. However, I often found myself connecting more with other tourists rather than locals. Hosting others through the app was also something I did only a couple of times, though I’ve welcomed many people into my home over the years outside of Couchsurfing.

For international travel, though, I feel Couchsurfing makes even more sense. It offers a more authentic way to experience a place, which I really value, especially since I’m not particularly drawn to traditional tourist attractions.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’ve done many amazing things, i visited 13 states in Brazil (half of the country) in a single year, helped care for my nephew when he was a baby, experienced ayahuasca ceremonies, hiked some breathtaking trails, including one where I watched the full moon and the sun from the peak of a "mountain", daylight on one side and night on the other. I've had epic nights that I can hardly remember now (no, i wasn't wasted, I just have terrible memory), and I'm moving to the other side of the world, haha. I feel like I’ve lived through so many incredible experiences, but I’m not sure if I’d pinpoint anything as particularly outstanding.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I really enjoy cooking, and I’d love to make us a delicious meal. I can also share my stories and I’d love to hear yours, I’m usually a good listener. Plus, I practice Reiki and auriculotherapy! On top of that, I’m pretty fun to be around haha. I’m sure we’ll have some great moments together :)
