Overview
About Me
Originally from Germany, I spent most of my formative years on the African continent before returning “home” to Germany, where I’m currently based. As a cultural manager with over 15 years of experience, I’ve directed two Goethe-Centres and advised on cultural interventions and exchange programs for GIZ. I’m passionate about crafting accessible, barrier-free cultural experiences—most recently organizing my mother’s first art exhibition and curating a winter family tour through Spain with my elderly parents and my sister. Driven by a deep curiosity for other ways of life, I thrive on spirited dinner-table debates and learning from diverse perspectives. My guiding principle is “investing in memories,” and if I ever write a book, it will be titled
My Story According to Music—a tribute to the soundtrack that shapes every chapter of my life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m a Couchsurfing member because I believe the best travel memories are made through genuine human connections. Staying with local hosts lets me experience daily life and spirited dinner-table conversations that no hotel can offer. It aligns perfectly with my motto—“investing in memories”—by turning each stay into a story, not just a night’s rest.
