About Me

I'm from the small town of Southwold in the county Suffolk in England. I work in the theatre industry doing a mix of technical and performance work. I also love to write plays, short stories, comedy and anything that pops into my head! I'm an enthusiastic traveller, its a bit of a vice, and in the last few years I've been setting about visiting every continent. So far I've been to Europe, Africa, Asia, North and South America.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because I feel meeting people from different countries and cultures is a great way to expand your knowledge and understanding of the world. It's also nice when travelling to be able to stay with people who have an intimate knowledge of the place you're visiting; and I love when people visit my own home to be able to provide them with this same experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

Back to the Future for film! The Wheel of Time books by Robert Jordan and music wise I like a considerable mix. If the music is well done I can appreciate it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

White water rafting on the Nile.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've recently started to learn Spanish as it's one of the most widely spoken languages in the world and it frustrates me that as a Brit I've grown up only able to speak the one language. Sharing stories and knowledge is a great thing and if you can't communicate with someone this makes it more difficult and frustrating. I feel learning is something that you should continue to do throughout your life; there is always more to learn and the more you know the better your understanding of the world and other people as a whole.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Can help with English language, performance and physical training; I'm also a qualified Badminton coach.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Cambodia, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Laos, Luxembourg, Morocco, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Peru, Scotland, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, Uganda, United States, Wales
