My name is Robert Hamton. I have always had dreams of makingfilms, and traveling the world. In November 2012 decided it was time to make my dreams come true. Now I am traveling as much as possible..creating a documentary about living for your dreams and overcoming the obstacles.

May 5,2013 - I have been traveling since February 12, 2013. Arrived in Barcelona and fell in love with it here. This place is amazing! The people, the architecture, the environment...everything. There is a lot of opportunity for creativity, here. Moved in my place 2 days ago. I will now open my couch to surfers :D

September 18, 2013: I never left Barcelona. It is a free, open-spirited place, and I have decided to use this as a place to come "home" to while I am traveling and working on my project. Barcelona can become overwhelming, though, so be careful. There are parties EVERY NIGHT. Hard to stay focused with all this fun around me, but i'm doing it!

January 18, 2014: O_O Still in Barcelona :) pero No pasa nadaaa! Yo vivo aqui 9 meses, ahora yo intentarlo aprender Espanol! tu sabes es muy mallo :P I love it here, and have been filming a lot lately, but I need to head back to the states, soon, for a few months to see family. I never expected to travel for a whole year...Next is Southeast Asia or South America. But yeah... Still here O_O

15 October, 2014: Still in Barcelona. Been all over, but have not used Couchsurfing much, for I have made a very nice amount of contacts from all over Europe. This year i have been all over Costa Brava, Spain, and up to Bilbao. Germany a few times...Poland n Italy n Austria. I have interviewed some interesting artists for my film project. I have a round trip ticket from Barcelona to Bangkok for Nov - Feb. Unfortunately, my network doesnt reach much into Asia. Hope to change that...but..I plan to use CS, some more! Very excited for this chapter of my life, and look forward to meeting many people!!

07 April, 2015 - I am still living in Barcelona, Spain haha. I have lived here for 2 years. The film project I started 2 years ago ( www.facebook.com/againztthegrainz ) is still rolling, but I have realized that this project might take me several years to complete. Barcelona is a magical city..it can also be very distracting. Every night you want to stay in and relax, you know you're missing out on meeting new people, enjoying one of the many unique bars/clubs, and having fun. My first year, here, was just party party. Last year I hustled with promoting and private tours, made a good bit of money, and did some traveling around Europe, and to SE Asia. This year I am on top of filming and being productive. I also started a photography page, since I find myself really enjoying taking pictures ( www.facebook.com/robywanphotography), and I have been working on some music, as well. I always enjoy showing people around the city, so if I cannot host you, perhaps I could meet with you and do the same for you.

July 10, 2015 - Whoa. Just went through SONAR week, and up to Germany for Fusion Festival. Most productive I have been since I came to Europe, with the filming. Just finished my first major project with Suara Music Label. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLDw-gqfX2g - Things seem to be working out and obstacles overcome.

PHILOSOPHY

My philosophy is that your life is your own. Write your own story, and so long as it doesn't result in anybody getting hurt... Do not allow society's expectations to restrict you from doing whatever it is you love.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I saved a bird, once..kind of...it died. I left everything I know to go live in another part of the world..pretty amazing, for me at least. I made it out of my childhood/young adult situation, and turned my life around for the positive.
